Spjall:frakki

There seems to be something wrong on this page. At the banner above the page there is a lot of wiki code reading: "<img src="//upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/72/Disambig.svg/25px-Disambig.svg.png" alt="" style="width: 25px; height: 20px;" />" and "Sjá einnig: <a href="/wiki/Frakki">Frakki</a>". --Ooswesthoesbes (spjall) 5. maí 2017 kl. 16:40 (UTC)

That's an old problem. There's a script that should replace a {{sjá einnig|...}} on top of the page. It worked nicely in the past, but with the latest MediWiki versions there must have been introduced a change that made the script fail. I see a pattern though. Is it theoretically possible it has to do something with the capital letter? "auðn" has "see: auðna" (small letter), while "frakki" and "nótt" have "see: Frakki" and "see: Nótt" respectively. --Ooswesthoesbes (spjall) 5. maí 2017 kl. 20:22 (UTC)

It also happens if the page is completely empty, so it must be a script, which is why I removed the automated "sjá einnig" from the common.js yesterday, still it continues to exist from somewhere... sadly User:Melancholie who implemented this is no longer active =((( --geimfyglið _(:> )=| 6. maí 2017 kl. 05:35 (UTC)

  • I have done some research and I have come to conclusion that this is a cache problem and currently it has nothing to do with JS because the HTML pops up even with JS disabled. Nevertheless JS might have played some role. Indeed, JS is a very tempting candidate to blame but your MediaWiki:Common.js looks OK even the old one that dealt with showSeeAlso stuff.--Dixtosa (spjall) 6. maí 2017 kl. 17:31 (UTC)
